Project "ChitinFluid": video and podcasts
Chitin is one of the most common biopolymers in nature, but how can it be turned into a material for the construction industry? In the University of Stuttgart’s collaborative project “ChitinFluid,” we are researching how chitin can be converted into a fluid, processable form. This chitin fluid is then used to create films, panels, and materials that can be used as sustainable alternatives in the construction industry.
The project is funded by the Carl Zeiss Foundation.
We have produced a video that shows the project's research findings and illustrates the process of transforming the natural substance chitin into a usable material. There are also podcasts with interviews with all of the principal investigators, who discuss the project and its progress. 〈mehr...〉
